Lake Manyara Tree Tops Luxury
Manyara Tree Lodge is an exceptional small camp in a wonderfully secluded location at the southern end of Lake Manyara. It's the only lodge inside Lake Manyara National Park.
Lake Manyara Tree Lodge stands out head and shoulders above any of the other camps in the Lake Manyara area. It's right at the Southern tip of Lake Manyara National Park (in the heart of the Mahogany forest), well away from most of the traffic and is, in itself, a reason to visit Lake Manyara. Tree Lodge is about 2 1/2 hours from the main gate and the drive is very beautiful taking you through acacia woodland in the north and under the really dramatic rift valley that towers above you to the west.
The lodge consists of 10 stilted tree house suites spread throughout the forest to ensure complete privacy. Each Tree House Suite features large windows to invite the lush forest inside. The rooms are very spacious and bathrooms are especially well done with large bathtubs and even an outdoor shower. Furnishings and decorations are contemporary and abstract. Each tree house has its own private viewing deck with a comfortable sitting area and spectacular forest views. Service is also superb as your own private butler is on call for the duration of your stay to mix martinis or serve dinner on your private veranda.
The main guest area includes the kitchen, lounge, dinning room, gift shop and bar. The lounge and dinning areas are outside and the atmosphere is wonderful. They offer a great place to mingle with other guests and share the safari highlights for the day. For your safety, Askaris (Masai warriors) will accompany you at night when walking to and from the main lodge.
The food and Tree Lodge is simply excellent.
A gleaming, chrome-accessorised interactive kitchen includes guests in the preparation of delicious Pan-African cuisine. In the theatrical boma (reeded enclosure), tandoori ovens produce heavenly cuisine. Meals are enjoyed in the open-air boma, the dining area, on the decks in the guest area or on the guests' private viewing decks.

Lake Manyara Serena Lodge Luxury
Standing high on the bluff of a dramatic ochre and terracotta streaked cliff above the flamingo-frosted expanse of Lake Manyara's gleaming alkaline waters, the Lodge commands panoramic views across the volcano-studded floor of the Great Rift Valley.
Designed to reflect the brilliance of Lake Manyara's unique birdlife, the Lodge draws on an inspirational architectural motif that melds swooping avian curves with the gentle concentric patterns of traditional Maasai 'Bomas' (encampments) whilst the vibrantly coloured frescoes lining the walls are designed to depict the colourful intricacy of bird migratory patterns.
The ambiance of the Lodge is a fusion of lakeside tranquillity, towering volcanic splendour and adventure-packed sporting activity. The circular, closely-thatched 67 rooms echo the traditional Maasai 'Boma' style of construction whilst featuring a vibrant interior design concept that reflects the Maasai people's abiding love of brilliant scarlet-and-indigo checked 'Shukas' (cloaks) and bright yellow, white, blue and orange beadwork. Each room has a private veranda and breathtaking views of the shimmering reaches of the flamingo-frosted Lake.

Lake Manyara Hotel Intermediate
Lake Manyara National Park is set against the sides of the Rift Valley, which here forms a spectacular escarpment sloping some 300 meters. The park contains a very dense equatorial forest and a remarkable concentration of wildlife. They say that the lions here are perched on trees, while countless colonies of pink flamingos, pelicans and thousands of other lake-dwelling birds flap and splash amid hippos. Built 1,400 meters above sea level on the western escarpment of the huge Rift Valley, Lake Manyara Hotel overlooks the glassy lake of the Manyara National Park. Set 130 km from Arusha, the hotel has 100 comfortable rooms, a swimming pool, a superb terrace and a shop selling objects of art. All the rooms have an outstanding view over the Rift Valley and Lake Manyara. The restaurant is supplied daily by local farm produce and the bar is a warm and cozy spot to relax in and taste delicious cocktails. Kirurumu Tented Camp
Kirurumu is built right on the edge of the Great Rift Valley just to the north of Lake Manyara, a drive of about 20 min from the park gate. With its spectacular setting two thousand feet above the Rift Valley floor, the views from Kirurumu are breathtaking. Just to the east is the extinct volcano, Lossimingor, which rises to around 8000ft above sea level and the views of this are great as the light changes throughout the day. To the south, Manyara is just visible.
The well spaced tents (20) are private and secluded and each is raised on a base of natural stone and has a cooling thatched roof which also covers and shades the deck style wooden verandah. Accommodation is simple, but luxurious, spacious, welcoming, secure and insect proof. Bedrooms are comfortable with twin or double beds with warm duvets against the dawn-chill. Soft bedside lighting is atmospheric and there is a writing table. Modern ensuite bathrooms. Wake up to early morning tea or coffee or enjoy refreshments at any time on your verandah. The bar is always open for revitalising fresh fruit juices, cocktails or sundowners; the perfect place to relax. Meals are served in the airy hilltop dining room offering a selection of traditional and international menus.
Cycling on mountain bikes down to the eastern edge of Lake Manyara and walks from camp can easily be arranged. Canoeing on Lake Manyara is on offer and Kirurumu can organise some excellent walks for anything from 1 - 5 days up Lossimingor or along the rift valley.

Manyara Wild Africa Tented Lodge
It is difficult to imagine a more spectacular setting for an African Safari Lodge - the lodge is located on the northern shore of Lake Manyara, only few kilometers from the town of Mto wa Mbu. The layout of the lodge is a tribute to indigenous architectural traditions. Beyond the superb standards of service offered, there is a spirit of tranquility that prevails... Skip and Kelly, the managers, are welcoming you with warm hospitality.
The lodge consits of 9 tented thatched chalets, all on suite and 1 tented-thatched luxury honeymoon suite. Swimming pool, bar, spacious lounge, dining room, all over looking Lake Manyara, and the land of the Maasai People. Traditional dance presentations are held every night.
Some of the activities are the normal game drives in Lake Manyara National Park, bicycle tours, cultural walks, bird watching or just relaxing on the lodges' own pool!
The extraordinary bird life has made this place world renowned among ornithologists, who come to observe the masses of pink flamingoes and great birds of prey.
The mornings and sunsets is just one of the awesome sights, flamingoes on the lake providing a spectacular reflection from the morning sunrise.
Boma Walks- amongst the masai bomas who live just nearby are very exciting. You will get an idea of the local cultures, and life of the Maasai tribe. One will indeed see some game during "boma walks" as our lodge is located in an area with very little human disturbance.
