You’ve seen it on television and maybe even went to watch the IMAX version. You’ve read about it and probably dreamed of one day witnessing it first hand. It is something that can still inspire wonder at the amazing planet we live on: THE MIGRATION. This extraordinary annual trek that wildebeest and other grazing herbivores embark on across the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem is one of the greatest spectacles in the natural world. Over two million herbivores partake in this journey, with about 200 000 zebra and 500 000 Thomson's gazelle behind the main players... one-and-a-half million wildebeest! To be on an endless plain with thousands of animals galloping around you while the red dust of Africa hangs in the air is a dramatic experience that you can only fully understand once you’ve been there yourself. It is the one thing that really is much better in real life than on the big screen!

Option 1 - Safari Itinerary:
DAY 1: Johannesburg / Kilimanjaro Airport / Arusha
The fee includes return economy airfare with Kenya Airways (via Nairobi) from Johannesburg to Kilimanjaro Airport. At Kilimanjaro the friendly safari team will wait to take you to your lodge. Overnight at Arusha Mountain Village Lodge (breakfast).
DAY 2: Arusha / Lake Manyara
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park followed by an afternoon game drive in the park.
Overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge (picnic lunch, dinner and breakfast).
DAY 3: Lake Manyara / Serengeti
En-route to the Serengeti you can opt to visit a Maasai Village near Ngorongoro Crater.
After bidding the Maasai farewell, drive to the Serengeti parkgate to enjoy your picnic lunch, followed by aafternoon game drive en-route to your lodge. Overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge (breakfast, lunch or picnic lunch and dinner).
DAY 4: Serengeti
Enjoy your full day in Serengeti National Park with morning and afternoon game drives (or a full day game drive). Overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge (breakfast, lunch or picnic lunch and dinner included).
DAY 5: Serengeti
Enjoy another full day in the Serengeti National Park with morning and afternoon game drives(or a full day game drive). Another wonderful day in the land of Lion King. Overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge (breakfast, lunch or picnic lunch and dinner).
DAY 6: Serengeti / Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park with a picnic lunch at the park gate before driving to Ngorongoro Crater. En-route to Ngorongoro Crater you’ll visit Olduvai Gorge, a famous archaeological site. Overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge (breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner).
DAY 7: Ngorongoro Crater / Arusha
After breakfast, descend 600 m into the magnificent crater for a half-day (6 hours) crater tour. You will witness an unforgettable spectacle of African wildlife - a world teeming with animals. Overnight at Arusha Mountain Village Lodge (breakfast & dinner).
DAY 8: Arusha / Kilimanjaro / Johannesburg
Enjoy early morning coffee or tea before your transfer to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight home.
Option 2 - BRIEF Safari Itinerary:
DAY 1: 1 night acc at Arusha Mountain Village Lodge (breakfast).
DAY 2: 1 night acc at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge (picnic lunch, dinner & breakfast).
DAY 3: 1 night acc at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge (picnic lunch, dinner & breakfast).
DAY 4 - 6: 3 nights acc at the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge (breakfast, lunch & dinner).
DAY 7: Charter flight to Arusha. 1 night acc at Arusha Mountain Village Lodge (dinner & coffee and muffins)
DAY 8: International flight to Johannesburg.
